Phone Number: Used to register and sign in users.
User-Generated Handle: A username or handle chosen by the user.
Location Data: Collected in real time to display nearby restaurants. This data is used solely for that purpose and is not logged.
Favorites and Notes: Data regarding your favorite restaurants and notes you create — both private and shared.

2. How We Collect Data

Data is collected during user registration (via phone number) and through regular application use (location, favorites, notes, etc.). Data collection occurs as you interact with the app.

3. Third-Party Integrations

NomNotes integrates with several third-party services:

Google: For location services and search functionality.
Supabase: Used as a cloud backend (hosted on AWS) to store and process data.
Twilio: For sending confirmation SMS messages during registration.
Content Moderation: An automated content moderation service is used to analyze and filter shared notes for harmful content. Moderation results are used only for content filtering decisions and are not stored beyond what is necessary for the review process.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure on AWS. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third parties, except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., with the third-party integrations mentioned above) or as required by law.

You have the right to review, update, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Please note that certain data may be retained for recordkeeping or legal compliance.
